During a sound, deep sleep we sleep deeply, our body heals and restores itself. When we sleep deeply, our digestive system functions. When we sleep deeply, we dream, and when we sleep deeply, we wake up feeling regenerated and refreshed.
In addition, when sleeping well we are physically, emotionally, and mentally ready for a new day. Our natural sleep processes are important for our body, mind, our heart, and our soul.
Hypnotherapy for sleep begins first with an evaluation of your bedroom surroundings. Your best night’s sleep will be supported by having a very dark and quiet bedroom.
There may be environmental issues interfering with your sleep. For example, the sounds of electronics buzzing or beeping, even quietly buzzing is a disturbance. Electronics’ lights, flashing lights on and off, even a small blue light from a devise or nightlight is a disturbance and your closed eyes can pick up. Eliminate all noises. This too is essential. Why? Because consciously or unconsciously our mind is aware of noises as we begin to sleep, and this awareness slows the ability down or reduces the depth of our sleep. Our mind allows us to sleep deeply when we feel secure. Our mind is aware of our room’s quiet, stillness and darkness and it can rest, and then it does.
